Starting Up From Scratch

I started my own business in the year 2011 with a capital of $30000. I was quite a cheapskate, I aimed to do the most for the least cost, so I did not hire my own staff nor did I rent a shop space. All I did was to pay $60 for a virtual office package, then $60 for web hosting, then I worked from home owned by my family. I didn't make much profits, but overall it was a good experience over the next eight years. I have since closed shop, but the knowledge from starting from scratch is IMHO priceless.
